Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) have appeared as one of the prospective means to support quality education. It also had the potential to offer instruction to vast sphere of audience globally. It has touched all stakeholder of education comprising of learners, academics, researchers, facilitators, teachers, policy makers etc.
Open Educational Resources (OER) acceptance by teachers in India is hindered by techno-social, techno-pedagogical and socio-cultural factors.  The use of OERs by teacher in higher education is characterized by low use of information and communication technologies (ICT) in the institutes of higher education. The “chalk and board” method appended with textbook culture where teachers are merely curriculum disseminator of content of recommended and prescribed books in syllabus texts adds to the avoidance of use of ICT. The difficulty is more severe for different dialects challenge where use of English language may be irrelevant.
